Age Qualification
Under standard constitutional arrangements, a person seeking election to public office must have attained the age of twenty-one or be due to have attained that age by the date of election.
Some Lejths, however, have adopted a lower age qualification for their elected representatives. It is not uncommon for the age qualification to be set at age eighteen, in some districts at sixteen and even some rare instances of it being as low as fourteen.
