Pester and Pivot once belonged to a fabled Gnome bard named Childebrand Rindenszwist. He was said to be an exceptionally adept duelist and was equally proficient in employing his cutting blades as well as his cutting words. He would swoop in and make a swift strike, all the while mocking and aggravating his enemy. Then he would spin, slash and dash away. His cockiness eventually was his downfall though. His tiny feet couldn't carry him far enough away from Chymrienth the Irritable, a mighty red Dragon, who had had enough of the Gnome's antics. He simply brought his massive tail down on the bothersome bard. These twinned scimitars offer a +1 to each attack and damage rolls. If the weapons are dual wielded and one of them scores a hit, the wearer may expend charges to unleash one of the following effects:
2 charges
Pester: Unleash a flurry of cuts and insults at your target. Additionally to your normal weapon damage the target also takes 2d6+2 additional slashing damage. Furthermore it is irritated by your insults and has disadvantage on attacks until the end of its next turn.
2 charges
Pivot: Deftly and gracefully employ your blades in a whirling display of swordsmanship. Additionally to your normal weapon damage the target also takes 2d6+2 additional slashing damage. Furthermore you are able to deflect incoming attacks and nimbly jump out of harm's way. You gain a +2 to your AC until the beginning of your next turn as well as advantage on Dexterity saving throws.
If the wielder scores a critical hit, the wearer may expend 1 charge less than the usual charge cost mentioned above.
Pester and Pivot originally have 4 charges and regain their maximum of 4 charges after a short or long rest.
