High King Hyangolgraem of the Halls
King Hyangolgraem, High King of the Halls of Grus Fadrak has led the dwarven people through many hardships and he did so by showing tenacity, strong leadership and, not least, the skillful use of his shield and axe in battle. It was the Battle at the Pillars of Lothgirrim where King Hyangolgraem faced his darkest hour. With grim determination he was ungrudgingly facing the overwhelming host of orcish and goblinoid forces threatening his kingdom. If he was about to die, then it would be firmly standing upright and with his axe embedded in an orc skull. But it did not come to that. King Aerric Ealdeheart of Irimond and Gweyir Lithë Imryll, leader of the elven high court, came to the aid of the darven people and together they were able to repel the invading horde.
King Hyangolgraem henceforth opened his kingdom to the other races. Whereas the dwarves formerly lived very withdrawn in their kingdom under the mountain, they since have started to open up a bit. Still not trusting the "leaf-eating tree huggers" completely, King Hyangolgraem is now at least able to restrain himself from openly marking his distaste of the high folk. Dwarves are unwavering in their loyalty, but just as much so in holding grudges. King Hyangolgraem has Queen Gladegret at his side, wise and temperate, and the couple has a daughter, the bright Princess Yunwelyn.
