Keahiel the Resurrected

The Phoenix Reborn

Of the mighty Solar who are the hands and justicars of the Gods Keahiel is one of the most powerful. They were the brightest example of faithfulness and devotion in the War between the Planes which raged for aeons between the armies of the Celestial Beings and the Abyssal Hordes. Always at the forefront of the battle they could be seen rallying their allies and bolstering their spirits by sounding their legendary war horn Voscomé. They would then sweep down on golden wings and cleave their enemies with their sword Gaeshelach, which is said to have been forged by The Artificer themself.

Keahiel's bane though was Igjoneth who struck out with their blighted whip and managed to hold them in place, draining their power. Igjoneth’s minions were fast to swoop in and soon Keahiel was overwhelmed. They opened rifts to the Abyssal Plane and summoned hellfire to burn Keahiel, the flames consuming their form, until nothing was left. But Esharea, Goddess of Light and Faith, was able to retrieve Keahiel’s essence from the battlefield and took it with her to the Heavens. There they channelled the Solar’s spirit into the egg of a powerful mystical creature, a Sun Phoenix. When the egg finally hatched Keahiel was reborn, forevermore known as Keahiel the Resurrected, Phoenix Reborn.

Still in the service of the Gods of Light Keahiel wants to see Demons and Fiends destroyed and is busy countering their plans wherever they can. They are particularly fond of recruiting souls destined for the fires of Hell: souls who have strayed from the righteous path and who have struck bargains with the Lords of the Abyss, whether willingly or not. Keahiel shows these souls a path to redemption and acts as a Celestial Patron to mortals who reach out to such beings of otherworldly power.
