Tartessos

Tartessos is a city on the edge of the Brocelian Forest. Though it has few fields or mines, it has managed to become one of the major cities in the region due to the unique trade goods that can be found in the Brocelian. Tartessos has the smallest standing army of any of the cities of Antigone, but it also houses the Slayers Guild. The Slayers Guild is a guild of monster fighting teams that venture into the Brocelian forest to hunt for rare and magical plants and animals. They harvest these denizens of the forest and return to sell their wares to the other city-states.
Tartessos is run by Lord Tariq Osena, who is a member of the Slayers guild himself, though he no longer ranges into the forest in search of monsters to fight. Tariq is known to be brash but fair. While his people consider him to be a good ruler, the other city states see him as a blunt object best pointed at their enemies. Tariq is partially responsible for turning Tartessos' feud with Vaccei personal, as he killed Lady Rima's daughter when she led a raid into his lands.
