Muruchan

Muruchan are first and foremost a seaborn people, sailing on great fleets from on corner of Hollow to another, carrying good from one port to another and congregating amidst the seas to exchange goods, blood and stories. They are wind scarred and small in stature with a cheerful demeanor being as expected as the scent of the sea on them. Their descent is held to be Lesser Albia and the Midafrik Oligarchies but their downy bangs are known for a vivid red which trespass close to a lively orange. Eyes are often dubbed ‘as blue as crystal sea’ as they describe themselves. Their skin is like the teak of ancient Terra and often darkened by their home star, which has to my understanding lead to the belief that paleness is a sign of high birth among their people. A curious alteration is the presence of an impressive air-capacity in their lungs and the webbing often found between their fingers and toes, which suggests that measures were taken to adapt them to seaborne life. Muruchan fleets can be roughly split into seventeen major fleet groupings, splitting further between airborne and sailing fleets which traverse the seas. Fleets otherwise split into preferred trade cycles and sea-types as deemed best by their frequently matriarchal sea-augurs which read Dark Age mechanisms to seek Ruin-isles that might be raided for worthwhile valuables. Unification and later Compliance seemed to have been beneficial for these people as their ancient vessels had supposedly grown dangerously close to complete failure, which has led to a seeming admiration for the Astartes which supersedes that seen among other populations of Hollow. Of further note was the alleged majority among the Legiones Serfs which originate from the Muruchan, which has resulted in their overtaking most of the original cultures found in their void ships beneath their regulated clan structures. Muruchan are a common sight across all of the guilds but they are most often found among the Onyx.
