The Royal House of Cordona is one of the six ancient houses of Albion and rule over the southern kingdom of Alba, west of Rivain and south of Sancere. The Cordonans are great seafarers and command the largest military fleet in all of Albion, as well as the second largest trade fleet, dwarfed only by the city-state of Arrah. They are also the second-richest house, having discovered great silver veins running beneath the White Mountains within their realm.
In ancient times, House Cordona took over most of its territory in Eridas via force, something not repeated in recent times where territory was mostly acquired through marriage or diplomacy, such as the recent vassalisation of House Cartez. Nevertheless, the Red Lion hungers still, and many in Albion watch with interest as House Cordona attempt to carve out an overseas empire of their own. Their sights have set for Skargos and its vast riches buried under thick jungle...
Queen Maria Louisa I currently oversees her kingdoms expansion under the name of Cordona, though there are those who whisper she is no Cordonan at all. Such rumours are baseless according to the stewards and relatives of the house, though who is speaking truth and who was bribed remains to be seen. Nevertheless, under her rule the armade of Alba was expanded, trade increased and its population grew twofold. Imposter or not, Queen Maria Louisa is a worthy ruler of both her house and realm.
