Eriu
Goddess of Nature and its Cycle
Eriu is the goddess of all things that grow, their life and their eventual death, and the cycle of living things. She watches over the natural order of the world and is revered by many druids, hunters, and other folk who have a strong connection to nature, such as forest folk or firbolgs. Her tree of life welcomes all who respect her boundaries, one of which is resurrection magic, which she despises.
The goddess of life, Macha, and her brother, Arawn, god of death are under her constellation and represent the cycle of life. Resurrection of souls goes against the very nature of this cycle, and as such she rejects all those who were reborn into their old selves. Flidais, goddess of the hunt is also under her wing, for she is a gifted huntress that brings swift death, but does so with respect, tenacity and skill which are all valued by Eriu .
