The Airship
When Kmoiuy raised Nvek from the ground and into the skies of Phiero, the people had to find a way to be able to return to the ground safely. Thankfully, one of the citizens of Nvek was a ship builder and knew that with the help of one of the other residents, he'd be able to build them a vessel that would take them to the ground. After months of work and planning, they built the first airship in Caladrius. It was the same standard build of one of their trading ships, however they had added more sails to allow for added wind, along with wings that extended from the sides to help steady the ship. There was also a large balloon filled with hot air on the bottom of the ship that allowed it to float. Their first airship was called the Volatus and was responsible for allowing the citizens of Nvek to return to the ground for the first time since being lifted to the skies. The Volatus allowed them to trade with other cities and establish famrlands on the ground to grow more crops. While initially, the ship was intended to travel between the groun and the sky, it eventually traveled to distant towns and cities, exciting all who saw it. Following the Volatus, Nvek built three more ships in the following centuries to allow tourists to visit the city and travel outside of Phiero. All ships are only permitted to be made within Nvek as the secret to their success remains within the original family of shipbuilders. The ships are named NAS for Nvek Air Ship, NAT for Nvek Air Transit, NMS for Nvek Mail Ship, or NPS for Nvek Personal Ship, and are usually named by the Paxoral of Nvek. Some of the most famous ships are the Rose, the Quaestus, and the Magnus.
