Aazd

Supreme Grandmaster of Spring, the Shield of Our Mother, Lord of War, Shah's Mercy Aazd (a.k.a. Azdruzhar)

In the verdant bloom of spring's renewal, there arose a champion whose unwavering courage and dedication caught the attention of the goddess Shah herself. This champion, known as Aazd, embodied the very essence of mercy and strength, his valorous deeds and unyielding resolve earning him the title of the Shield of Our Mother, Lord of War, Shah's Mercy.   From the outset, Aazd demonstrated an indomitable spirit and fierce loyalty to his people. His valorous exploits on the battlefield and his unyielding commitment to justice drew the gaze of the divine, Shah recognizing in Aazd a kindred spirit whose courage and compassion would be indispensable in the trials that lay ahead. As tensions mounted between the elven Empire and the looming human Empire of the Bechtlarites, Aazd found himself at the forefront of Queen Sharvisal's ill-fated attempt to maintain relations. Following the blockade imposed by the Bechlarites and the political pressures exerted by the Becht Sovereign, Queen Sharvisal sent her champion, Aazd who remained ever steadfast in his resolve to protect his people and uphold the values of mercy and justice, on a clandestine mission to reinforce the waters surrounding the elven lands, Aazd found himself betrayed and imprisoned on the Island of Gorrowhyn by a treacherous wizard who had once been an ally and friend, his mind tainted by megalomania and delusions of power. Shackled by power-dampening bracelets and consumed by the Spectral Fragmentation that ravaged his mind following the Blight, Aazd languished in captivity for over two centuries, his once noble spirit darkened by his time in isolation. It was not until a party of brave adventurers, guided by the fourth somnambulistic prophecy, stumbled upon his prison and freed him from his shackles. With his powers restored and his purpose reignited, Aazd joined forces with these intrepid heroes, determined to fulfill the prophecy and restore peace to the land.   In recognition of his unwavering dedication to his people and his indomitable spirit, Shah bestowed upon Aazd a divine boon, Amarshael "Shah's Mercy", a shimmering glaive made of pure light. Crafted from the essence of compassion and righteousness, this sacred weapon radiates with the power of the goddess herself, striking down injustice and tyranny wherever it is wielded.
