Lara Kusi
(a.k.a. The Brigadier)
Lara ur Vän Kusi (12 October 1217 - 4 February 1294) was an ardunan revolutionary, political theorist, writer, and military commander. An active member of the United Labour Front during the 1230's of the Steel Age, she fought for the paramilitary protection of migrant varlender communities in the south of Ardun against reactionary organizations. A decorated sniper, she participated in key battles in the the Ardunan Civil War, and was given command over the 14th "Pathfinder" Infantry Brigade in 1244, taking part in the Long Push West to defeat the local warlords that had taken control of the western provinces.
After the war, Kusi would continue to serve in the Union Red Army, achieving the rank of general during the Grand War. After retiring from military and public life, Kusi would find further success as a children's book author, becoming well known in the literary world for her depictions of ancient Farlander life, and the epic landscapes of the far north.
Though Kusi would reach the rank of Major General before her retirement, she would still be known as "The Brigadier" for her exploits in the civil war.
