King

In Caeteria, the term King is most often used for the hereditary ruler of a nation. There are a few exceptions, such as the individual kings of each Hold in the Bastion Mountain Kingdom.

Appointment

The title of king is most often hereditary, passed down from one family member to another upon death. Most often this is an Agnatic Cognatic Primogeniture succession with the Oldest male child of the ruler inheriting the title. There are, however, many variations to this.

Duties

Dependant upon the type of monarchy, the role of the King is generally to rule the nation.
