The Faith of the Seven
Mythology & Lore
The Seven were a group of ancient deities that walked the land and guided the Reachmen to glory, and civilization. Each was called an Aspect, for they represented the different aspects of humanity, good and bad. The Aspects were both virtuous and not so virtuous, depending on which aspect of humanity they were trying to teach humanity about.
The virtuous side of an aspect was called a Sovereign, while the other was called the Crusoul.
Each Aspect was Sovereign of one human concept, and Crusoul of the opposite of that, making them each a duality.
Silir, the leader of the Seven, was Sovereign of Diligence, but the Crusoul of Sloth. It is important to recognize that the Seven taught their charges that both Sovereigns and Crusouls could be bad and good. Silir taught that one must be diligent to protect and accomplish your goals, but not so much to "burn yourself out", while one must not be too slothful otherwise they will degrade and become nobodies, however one must recognize when it is time to stop, and rest.
Sects
Each Aspect has 3 Sects. A moderate Sect that believes in moderation of the Sovereign and Crusoul, and two extreme Sects, each of which believed the path to righteousness fell at the behest of following either a Sovereign or Crusoul, and ignoring its opposite.
