Character Creation

Each character Speaks Anglish and one other language based on their origin.
For each rank of Intellect beyond 1, a character can learn an additional language.
Also, for each rank of Knowledge (Lore) a character may learn an additional language, which they also learn to Read and Write.
Ranks in either gained after character creation only open up available slots, one must still spend time (365 days) learning the language to properly learn it.
A character knows how to Read and Write a language only if they spend their language on Read/Write, rather than Speak.

This means that a character with 2 Intellect and no ranks in Knowledge (Lore) can do the following:
  • A) Speak Anglish and 2 other languages
  • B) Speak and Read/Write Anglish, and Speak 1 other language
  • C) Speak Anglish, and Speak and Read/Write 1 other language
