Location: Northeastern ridge of the Rodiac Highlands, Striror

Geography

Hammerfall Summit is the tallest peak in the Rodiac Highlands. A fortress of weathered stone and frozen scree, the summit is notoriously difficult to climb due to its sharp drop-offs and unpredictable gale-force winds. The stone has natural veins of silvershade and thunderite — a rare, vibration-sensitive metal.

Magical Phenomena

Hammerfall is known for its resonant wind currents. When the wind howls across its jagged ridgelines, the stone sings — deep, echoing chimes that can carry for miles. Some believe the mountain was once struck by a divine hammer, forever ringing with its echo.

Legends and Lore

  • A hidden skyforge chamber is said to lie just below the summit, its entrance only accessible during lunar alignments.
  • The summit may serve as a natural amplifier of sonic magic or bardic power.
  • Dwarves believe Inavi forged the first smithing hammer from ore taken from its peak.

Hazards

  • Sudden gales strong enough to lift a person
  • Stonefall avalanches triggered by sonic echoes
  • Lightning strikes attracted by ore-rich cliffs
