Overview

Dorian Nightshade was once the brightest star in the The Knights of the Emerald Flame—a knight of unwavering resolve and unmatched talent. Fiercely loyal to King Caedryn and deeply committed to Tarnith's future, he believed in the dream of unity above all else. But ambition, once a driving force for good, festered into pride and obsession.   During the waning years of Caedryn’s reign, Dorian sought the Cauldron of Eternal Wellspring, believing he alone could wield its power to safeguard Tarnith. When denied access by the druids and fey guardians, he turned to forbidden magic, ultimately forging the cursed blade Fellbane.   His betrayal during the [Siege of Caelwyn’s Hold shattered the kingdom and left a wound on the land that has never fully healed.

Appearance

Tall, commanding, and once noble in bearing, Dorian now appears clad in twisted remnants of his knightly armor—blackened with fey corruption. His eyes shimmer with unnatural emerald fire, and his blade whispers constantly to him in a language not meant for mortals.

Legacy

Though reviled as a traitor, some believe Dorian was a tragic figure—a man driven by desperate hope and fear of failure. Others say his soul is bound to the Mists of Avalonreach, where he wanders as a spectral knight, seeking absolution or revenge.
