Arcadia

Arcadia represents a nicer Purgatory for lost souls who pass Limbo without resurrection. These lost souls are reincarnated as creatures of their choice which they can change at will until mating. Once two souls have mated (physically, spiritually, etc.), their progeny enter the Material Plane as the creature of their parents design. These mated souls can continue to reproduce and send newborn souls to the Material Plane.
Visitors to Arcadia are greeted with a calming feeling of understanding. At the end of a long rest in Arcadia, Visitors must make a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw or risk falling asleep. This sleep cannot be broken until leaving this plane. If an asleep visitor fails another saving throw, they will have no recollection of their time in Arcadia. Visitors to Arcadia staying longer than one week gain neutral alignment. Visitors staying longer than one month become golden eyed and are considered celestial. If a visitor dies in Arcadia, they are sent to Limbo to face their lonesome ordeal.

Geography

Arcadia as a plane is often depicted as mostly consisting of sparse woods rife with meadows, mountains, and rivers diverging it. Special trees rooted in Arcadia have small pools at their base acting as nexus portals to other planes. These portals are used by individuals to access other realms or use the creatures in the woods.

Fauna & Flora

Arcadian creatures are considered celestial and may be summoned by individuals of realms by a number of means.

Author's Notes

Arcadian is a loose reinterpretation of the Wood between the worlds featured in the Chronicles of Narnia series.
