Gender Ideals

While there are sexual organs that differentiate between a male or female elf, Ellidean culture holds little judgement towards one or the other

Courtship Ideals

While the term "relationship" is loose for Ellidean peoples, the concept of marriage and courtship still exists. The purpose it serves is entirely political, and serves as a means to securing more power for the perspective family units. Love can influence these dealings, but it is not the first consideration since most Ellidean will take many lovers over their lifetime anyways.

Relationship Ideals

It is true that in order to reproduce a male elf and a female elf need to have intercourse, Ellidean culture does not hold a taboo against same sex or polyamorous relationships. In fact, due to the long lives that elves live, Ellidean elves will often take multiple partners, which has contributed to the large population of Half-Elves in Umenor.
