"Summer of..." Flyers
Every summer, the cities of Maintru, Slandwar, and Gasnca have flyers everywhere announcing Matinru's Theatre Festival's new theme and dates. Since 2013, these flyers have been found on almost every available surface in Slandwar.
Purpose
Promoting the Maintru's Theatre Festival, these flyers were first made to save the theatre industry and now are posted more for tradition's sake than needing to promote the festival in the cities the flyers are found.
Historical Details
Background
For the last eight years, Maintru's Theatre group has turned their annual festival into a themed extravaganza. The flyers prints always start with "Summer of [theme]", include the beginning and end dates of the festival, the theatre's website, and several of the plays included for the theme. This turned the hobbling theatre into one of the city's biggest draws, no small part by how the actors would take these flyers to their neighbouring towns, including Slandwar and Gasnca.

Public Reaction
The public reacted well to the flyers in 2013, causing the boom of the theatre industry which has continued on until today. While most people get their information for their current year's festival online, the flyers are still found year to year plastered all over the city. They are often left there, not taken down, and are seen on telephone polls and bulletin boards through the winter. There have been years (most notably 2017 and 2018) when those putting up new flyers during the month of May would take down the flyers for the previous years.
There are those who say it is a waste of paper, but the Maintru Theatrical Company assures everyone they only use paper made completely of recycled products.
