Ballistics

Significant strides have been made in harnessing the power of ballistics, including dynamite and firearms. These discoveries were initially made in Cograd. However, they advantageous position was lost, as they were reluctant to embrace firearms. They are somewhat behind their rival nations of Voshain Empire and Rugallan Empire in warfare. Dynamite is primary used for mining. Firearms are in use across the land. However, ammunition is particularly expensive, so crossbows still see favor in many remote areas.

The United Rail Service is the leader in manufacturing and maintenance of steam locomotives. They have an effective monopoly.

Baomen Line - The only rail line managed by URS, this line runs the length of Baomen
Badlands - Most rail traffic into the Badlands consists of cargo trains heading to and from the mines. Sporadic passenger rail service exists
Voshain/Cograd - Express and local service connects much of Voshain and Cograd
Southeast Gratora - A rail line runs along the coast of much of Southeast Gratora, extending onto the Teinmondi Islands by a series of bridges
Northeast Gratora - A rail line connects the colonies of Northern Gratora
