Winter Court

The Winter Court was the first Court formed when the fae spread out from Alfheim. The expedition to settle the primal blizzards that created niflheim was fraught with danger, and even monsters dared not cross the Mountains if possible, many seetler elves gave their lives on the quest for a chance to leave their marks on the tides of history. The Skulls buried in the Ice serve as records and testaments towards their bravery, as well as a grim reminder of the limitations of man; The North promised great blessing beneath the snow but only the dilligent will reap the rewards. Because of their shared struggles, the people of the Winter Court have developed a new appreciation towards life, learning that the "immortal" are anything but die served as the imputus towards accomplishing as much as you can now, because tommorrow is never promised, but earned.   Whether they were unable to or merely unwilling to, the lands that became the Winter Court was altered the least out of all NIflheim, it was known that the settlers had fallen in love with the Tundra, claiming that the mass-terraforming rituals other Fae performed when they took over terrortory would only sully the Natural Beauty of the land and erase Patchworks vison of Niflheim, thus formed a law that lasted two elven generations forbidding Atmokinetic-based magics that angered many citizens even to this day. Beyond the Quilted Mountain range that forms the Winter Courts borders lays the Frozen Lands "Natural Beauty" that is constantly seen beneath a nearly unending blanket of White snow, often masqurading the many boreal forests that frequent the lands. Because of this, much of the nation's population is heavilly concentraded into several mega-cities that that breath life and warmth into the area, possibly literally if rumors are true.   The Current iteration of the Winter Court is a Theocracy Governed by the Goddess of Death and Matron of Ravens: Morrigan, or more specifically after the age of gods, by her followers that serve as the main governing body and her desendants that make up the royal family, in the current case for the year of the Matron of Ravens: 1683, the current Ravensworn is none other than the Winter Queen Brunhilda Sotorn. In Lieu of a typical Millitary, the subject of the nation's defense is allocated directly towards three groups: the Talons of the Raven, the Monster Warders Guild, and the Matron's Reapers, of these only the Guild consists of member's who aren't specifically followers of Morrigan.
