Zesta

Zesta's origins are not fully known. What is known is that she had become a relatively prevalent figure in the politics of hell, roaming around the edges of a great conflict between the archdevils. It was one of these conflicts where Sambi saw fit to step in that she managed to gain access to his room in the citadel of souls, and in an event only the two of them know the details of, killed Sambi and took his powers and spot as ruler of hell. Questions were raised as to the validity of her leadership but making use of the existing conflict those who doubted here were quickly dealt with, causing a great upheaval and the replacement of many archdevils. In this coup of hers, Zesta has managed to obtain powers akin to that of a true god, something not before seen.
Unlike Sambi Zesta is a devil trough and trough, she sought to undo as much of Sambi's bindings as she could and transformed hell from a place that sought to harbor sinners to a place that craved the souls of sinners. Orders were given, quotas were set, plans set in motion, Hell would no longer try to remain idle but instead would attempt to create and capitalize on as many opportunities as possible to grow its power.
Followers of Zesta usually fall in one of two categories. First, there are those that believe they can make deals with hell and come out on top. Rarely does one actually manage to accomplish this. The other category includes those that are fully aware of the nature of hell and seek to join it, hoping to curry enough favor to be granted a great position in the afterlife. For these followers, the demands are high, hell is full of competition. Yet there are those able to commit large enough blasphemies to secure something in their afterlife.
