Emperor/Empress

The title of Emperor was initially used as a way to describe the immense power and charisma beyond that of a normal ruler Tragodia I had. His subordinates felt the mere title of king wouldn't do justice so he was dubbed Emperor. Since then the tittle has stuck around but mostly fallen from grace. It now simply refers to the leader of the Solstrum Principality. The Solstrum Principality being what's left of the Tragodian Empire they decided to keep the title of Emperor.
Originaly the title of Emperor was based on direct succession with the eldest child of the previous Emperor being crowned the new emperor. This then changed to the old Emperor writhing in his wil a successor or appointing one when he steppes down. A member of the same house cannot be apointed twice in a row.
