Beautiful Ippon
Ippon is a state with a very turbulent past and nature. It is currently called "Beutiful Ippon", named that way by its current ruler to express his love for his country three years ago. It has been a democracy for 7 years and elections are held every 5.
Ruler
Its current ruler is Gregorious Rhinestone, an old Oread that is currently 721 years old. He is currently ruling the country for the 14th time after having been voted out of office trice, overthrown in a coup 6 times, lossing a duel for his position twice, being forced to quit after reaching maximum time in office and one time lossing the presidency in a bet.
After being overthrown the last time, Rhinestone decided to move to the countryside and live out his retirement there. However after the shameful rule of the previous vice-president 2 years ago, he was to his own surprise elected president and accepted his post with absolute glee.
Gregorious Rhinestone is known for being an extravagant and terminally upbeat man. He is almost always seen smiling and laughing and has a reputation for not worrying about things too much. He has had many scandals of impropriety that he laughed off. He had many inappropriate relationships and missing diplomatic duties from being too hangover multiple times. He even once admitted to accidentality having intercourse with his cousin saying, "Yeah that was wiiild, I was waaaaaaay to drunk that day, but hey she didn't get pregnant so its fiiiiine. I even got something to bother my annoying uncle about next family dinner"
Public opinion tends to sway between finding him an incompetent buffoon, or the only real man in politics who's just living his best life.
Star
The exact details of its Star are unknown but when it was used during the age of judgment witnesses reported complete and utter pandemonium.
Many have theorized that Ippon doesn't know how to use its own Star or even where it is, since no information of it has leaked even with its incredibly turbulent past.
Place in the confederacy
During the creation of the confederacy its a ruler also happend to be Gregorious Rhinestone. He found out about the rebellion shortly before it happend and insisted they should be a part of it. He offered many soldiers and riches in exchange, as well as a much needed source of food. They where let into the confederacy and even though the government shifted during the rebellion, multiple times, they where all to afraid of the confederacy to stop supporting them. After the rebellion succeeded it was decided that Ippon would keep its soverenty for a multitude of reasons.
The Ippon people (not its goverments) immensely aided in the conflict and they deserved thanks.
Granting the region to another state might create a power imbalance within the confederacy.
The territory had a very long history of constant rebellions. Because of this some of its neighbors didn't want just thinking it was cursed.

History
Ippon has a long and complicated history. The exact details of which are not known. What is known is that the lake of Ippon was sought after by many tribes for its majestic fish. It would always be fought over by many tribes of different races. It is thought that at some point a tribe, after conquering the lake, conquered the entity of the Impasto under the banner of there first conquest, the lake Ippon, before crumbling over the generations and disappearing. This myth then kept inspiring many people to try and conquer the lake and take over the legacy of the great tribe Ippon.
By the time the Tragodian empire it was inhabited by a quite large tribe who instead of fighting tooth and nail, seemingly agreed very happily to join the Empire. Although a couple years later the reason became apparent as many important tribe members where befrending different generals, nobles, merchants, and other important figures with the goal of taking Ippon and its glory for themselves. This spread the myth of Ippon being a cradle for greatness and made many within the empire try to claim it for themselves. This led to a great many assassinations, political schemes, and other non-direct conflicts over it governship.
When the age of judgment arrived most of the people with positions of power where to preoccupied with trying to claim the city as the birthplace of there new empire to properly defend it witch led to a successful peasant revolt. However the new leader installed turned out to be a madman who was convicted they could fend of the demons by asking them nicely, he also executed anybody who thought he was stupid. Obviously this madman was quickly replaced but this set in motion the state of being Ippon is known for.
In Ippon it is only a matter of time before the government gets overthrown and replaced by a new government that claims to be "nothing like the previous one, more righteous, more just, more innovative, and most importantly of all, the one TRUE Ippon." With a new government being established anywhere from the next day to a couple years. On average it takes about 10 years for another change in leadership to happen with the longest lasting being 21 years. At this point Ippon has been ruled by most types of government at some point and the exact nature of past governments is hard to know since a lot of them have the tendency to burn records of there predecessors.

True and just interim-government of Ippon, Another revolt prevent the election but when they got to power they used blatant election fraud and claimed 98% of the country had agreed to live in anarchism and all laws where forfeit.
Elected Democratic Ippon, Unlike the 'Democratic Ippon' of the past it was actually supposed to last but it fell apart after the president died and there vice president proved and incompetent and embarrassing fool.

Ippon cares little about politics outside the state and Vigne believes they can manipulate Ippon into supporting them.
