Eorcenberht
Ætheling Eorcenberht Eadbalding
Lord of Hrofaes Caester
Eorcenberht is a youthful figure at 16, standing tall and broad-shouldered with a hint of the physique that will fully develop in his later years. His hair is a rich, brown shade that catches the light, often kept short and his eyes are a piercing blue that reflect his sharp intellect.
Dressed in the finest garments of his royal station, his attire consists of intricately embroidered tunics in deep blues and purples, complemented by silver and gold trim. His cloak is fastened with a brooch that bears the emblem of the Centware horse, a nod to his lineage. His posture is proud but not arrogant, and his gaze is often distant, lost in thought or contemplation of the divine.
Eorcenberht is an unusual mix of virtues and shadows. At his core, he is a generous soul, known for his acts of benevolence and charity, which have earned him the love of the common folk. His diligence is unwavering, and he approaches every task with a stoic determination that belies his young age.
Yet, there is a cold, indifferent edge to him that can be unsettling. His heart is not easily swayed, and his emotions are guarded behind an icy veneer. He is an insightful thinker with a profound understanding of theology, often engaging in deep, philosophical debates with the scholars of the court.
This intellectual prowess has led some to whisper that he might make a more suitable king than his older brother, Eormenred. However, when the situation demands, Eorcenberht can be as heartless and cold-blooded as the harshest winter.
Despite this, he is not without compassion; rather, he has a unique way of expressing it that is not always immediately apparent to others. His humor is dry, and his wit is sharp, often used to disarm those who underestimate him.
