Ælfric
Ælfric Æðelwalding
Ælfric, my son, was a robust child, full of life and potential. It was a fever, a merciless creature that swept through our lands and claimed him in the winter of 633.
He was but fifteen summers old, a promising squire, eager to follow in the footsteps of his mother and I. His loss was a heavy blow, one that I fear I shall never fully recover from.
But life, as cruel as it may be, must continue. And so, I strive to be the best ruler for our people, drawing on the lessons he taught me in his short time here.
