Ælflæd of Mierce
My lady wife was the fairest in all the land, with hair like spun gold and eyes as blue as the midday sky. Her name was Ælflæd. A beauty, she was, and a fierce protector of our lands. Her wit was as sharp as any blade, and she ruled alongside me with a grace that could charm even the most stoic of warriors.
But alas, the Fates had other plans for us, and she was taken from this world much too soon. Since then, I have devoted myself to serving the people and our heavenly Father with the same fervor she once brought to our union.
