  • Cold Blooded: Lizard folk have very slow metabolisms for their size and are cold blooded like most lizards leaving them sluggish in the cold. Lizard folk in cold environments without suitable protection or means of warmth suffer an additional -2 to their Dexterity. In addition, when dealt cold damage or subjected to a spell or effect with the Cold descriptor, a lizard folk must make a fortitude saving throw or become fatigued for 1d4 rounds. The DC of this effect is equal to 10 + half the cold damage or the DC of the spell or effect, whichever is higher.

Trait Descriptions
Amphibious: Many Lizard folk are well adapted to living around large bodies of water and soggy swamps. They have a 20ft swim speed and gain a +8 racial bonus on swim checks. As creatures with a swim speed, they may take 10 on swim checks, even if distracted or endangered when swimming. Such a creature can use the run action while swimming, provided that it swims in a straight line.   Bite: Lizardfolk with this trait gain a natural bite attack which deals 1d6 damage. This trait stacks with itself increasing the damage to 1d8. The bite attack is a primary natural attack.   Claws: Lizardfolk with this trait gain two claw attacks which deal 1d4 damage. This trait stacks with itself increasing the damage to 1d6. These claw attacks are secondary natural attacks.   Heat Scent: Lizardfolk with this trait can detect and track sources of heat as though using the scent ability. Warm bodied creatures leave a trail of body heat that lasts for a half hour. Incredibly hot creatures and those with the Fire subtype instead leave a trail which lasts for an hour. Intense sources of heat mask creatures from this ability and intensely cold climates reduce the duration of heat trails by half.  
Natural Climber: Many Lizard folk are equally well adapted to climbing trees and craggy cliffs to hunt prey and forage. They have a 20ft climb speed and gain a +8 racial bonus on climb checks. As creatures with climb speeds, they retain their Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) while climbing, and opponents get no special bonus to their attacks against them. They cannot, however, use the run action while climbing.   Second Lid: While all Lizardfolk have a vestigial second lid, some still retain its more useful properties. Lizardfolk with ths trait gain a +4 Racial bonus on Fortitude saving throws against Light effects and to AC (and CMD) against attacks which target the eyes.   Stalker: Some Lizardfolk are closely related to the reptilian predators of the world. Lizardfolk with this traitgain a +4 Racial bonus on Perception and Stealth checks and have Low-light Vision.   Tough Scales: Lizardfolk with this trait have a +1 natural armor bonus.
