  • Type: Humanoid (Dwarf)
  • Base speed: 20ft
  • Slow and Steady: A Dwarf’s speed is never modified by armor or encumbrance.
  • Stocky: Dwarves are short and squat compared to other medium races. They are treated as small when determining jump distance and height.
  • Darkvision: All dwarves have darkvision of 60ft.
  • Dense: Dwarves are extrodanarily dense compared to other races. All dwarves gain a +1 racial bonus on CMD but suffer a -2 penalty on swim checks.

Trait Descriptions
Hardy:Dwarves gain a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against poison, spells, and spell-like abilities.   Greater Darkvision:Dwarves with this trait increase their darkvision by 60ft and gain +4 to perception checks when in the dark (anything less than low-light). If this trait is taken with Improved darkvision, this trait only provides +30ft of darkvision distance (for a total of 150ft of darkvision)   Improved Darkvision:Dwarves with this trait increase their darkvision by 60ft. This stacks with Greater darkvision     Magic Resistant:Dwarves with this racial trait gain spell resistance equal to 5 + their character level. This resistance can be lowered for 1 round as a standard action. Dwarves with this racial trait take a –2 penalty on all concentration checks made in relation to arcane spells. If a subancestry would grant another source of spell resistance, use only the larger of the two.  
Stability:Dwarves gain a +4 racial bonus to their Combat Maneuver Defense when resisting a bull rush or trip attempt while standing on the ground.   Stone Singer:A Dwarf with this trait treats all mental stats as 2 higher for, and adds +1 to caster level for, all spells and Bloodline/Domain/Mystery abilities cast using a class providing any of the following: Deep Earth or Elemental (Earth) Bloodlines; the Earth Domain, or the Stone or Metal Mysteries.   Sturdy:Dwarves with this trait gain a +2 racial bonus to fortitude   Thick Skin:Dwarves with this trait have a natural armor value of +1   Viscous Blood:Dwarves with this trait takes 1 less point of hit point damage, ability damage, or ability drain (minimum 1) from bleed and blood drain. They can attempt Heal checks to staunch their own bleeding as a swift action each round.
