The town of Broken Wheel is situated around the Jagura River a few days travel upstream from the
The Woldread Gulf. From above, Broken Wheel is designed like a wagon wheel split in half by the Jagura River with the
Haybrook Inn straddling the river at the center of town. From the
Inn, the rest of the town radiates outward like a large wagon wheel, hence the name. Some of the older structures of Broken Wheel, such as the
Haybrook Inn, have original sections which seem to be made largely from old wagon parts. As you get farther and farther away from the
Haybrook Inn, the buildings become less proper and appear more like a wooden lean-tos rather than proper structures. The outer ring of the town is essentially an open bazar where travelers from around the world come to pedal their wares.
Market District
Area on the West side of the Jagura River where much of the vendors and traveling salesmen go to set up shop. Almost anything can be found or sold here. This is a popular stopping point on the Golden Route.
Alchemical District
South of the market district, this is where potions and other alchemical reagents are created.
The Gold Circle
The Gold Circle loosely refers to the area around the Haybrook Inn where the more permenant structures and residents reside. The name stems from a slang term originaly used by the orphans and the pickpockets of Broken Wheel as many rich individuals and well to do shops call the area home.
The Warrens
Another colloquial term, The Warrens is a mass of shambling lean to buildings and wooden shacks on the East side of the Jagura River where many people, Including Jabel Giva, call home.
Gold Guards
The Gold Guards are the defacto enforcers of Broken Wheel. Essentially a well funded mercenary group, the Gold Guard have taken up permenant residence in the town and are paid by
Sarlow Haybrook to keep order.
