Besmara
Besmara, also known as the Pirate Queen, is a goddess most commonly worshiped by the sailor-folk of gray morals: privateers, free-booters, and pirates. She is the second child of Acionna and Abadar though unintentionally. When the two set out to create Alcithena, Besmara was created by mistake as a twin to their first born. She had no place in the home of the gods with no provenance to sustain her. As such she was born withered and frail and came to despise her sister who had been given the provenance of maritime commerce and sailors.
Alcithena feared what awaited her without provenance to sustain her so she stole from her sister wreaking havoc on the order of sea trade. As she grew in power she would wait for their mother's rages and pounce on Alcithena when she was distracted stealing more and more. Eventually, Abadar and Alcithena grew weary of Besmara's predations and sought to cut her off, but Besmara had grown too powerful and with her power was born piracy. So instead, she was cast out and now roams the spaces between raiding and pillaging the sacred and profane places of the cosmos.
