The Upper Green
The Upper Green is named so in relation to the Lower Green, both lower in elevation and in latitude. The slope of the hill is gradual, but from this location one can see down to the riverbank to the south and to the forest to the east, past the Corwyn Farm.
Purpose / Function
This aptly named section of land is home to the festival grounds where the vast majority of celebrations occur in Wreath. There is a well at the center both for daily use and to keep water handy during any festivities in case of fires.
Sensory & Appearance
This is a quite open space. There is plenty of room for stages, bonfires, and more to be built while not crowding whatever audience is gathered here. The well at the center has a few buckets laying next to it for use during meetings as fire suppression.
Denizens
Occasionally, some prairie dogs, rabbits or moles may get in the way of the uniform green quilting the grass provides here, but generally speaking, not much really lives here besides insects and the occasional garden snake.
History
Originally the first of the two village greens, the ground here is a bit more packed due to all of the foot travel done here over the years.
