Archfey

In simplest terms, an Archfey is a powerful fey creature with the influence, understanding, and power to bend the surrounding are of The Feywild to its will.
The Archfey's perceptions, motivations and actions are alien to mortals. They seem to understand the world through relatives rather than absolutes; many are bound by obscure and bizarre oaths and rules; others act seemingly at random, obeying a logic opaque to all non-Fey. While they may sometimes take the form of mortal-like beings or animals, they are often incapable of understanding mortals, one of the reasons they find them so fascinating.
Archfey can never lie and cannot intentionally violate a Contract or pact they have sworn to. To do so would rob them of part of them self. The binding magic of these contracts can also have an effect on the other party be they Archfey or not, as such many a mortal has inadvertently entered into a contract with an Archfey, with disastrous and unforeseen consequences when they tried to back out of their deal.
