Sea of Fire

The Sea of Fire is the limit and the link. You can sail on its waters, but be warned, for fire will devour the unwise swimmer.

Geography

The sea of fire is an enclosed sea, at the center of the continent of Boomal. Separated from the ocean by the Lemiit Isthmus, it hosts a very distinct biota.

Fauna & Flora

The Fauna is very specific of the place. The sea has been closed for so long that species evolved independently. Sea arthropods represent the majority of animals, but sea mammals are also present. The name of the sea comes from animals of the Pyronis family. At dusk, the sea is illuminated from the light emitted by all these animals, that feed on flying insects by attracting them in the waters. Waters seem to have been set ablaze for a long moment, hence the name.

Natural Resources

The sea is used by fishermen all along its coasts. Marine invertebrates are a main food source for people who live around the Sea of Fire.
