Dusk of Amaal
When slowly comes the dusk, we can see far away
In the immensity, blazes the sea of fire
All the city's towers, whose shadow seems to sway
And in the deep silence, I quietly admire.
I now have no worries, of wars and misfortunes
That came and imperiled our sons and families
The only fight is left, of the waves and the dunes
Now summer has brought peace, without calamities.
Come no more the ennemy who envied our peace
Your might and your beauty will be kept unattained
Around your tall towers, the wind comes, refreshing.
I fall asleep slowly, meanwhile the last flames cease
Inconspicuously and as the shadows swell
I sink into my dreams, night has come, all is well.
