Sanchir Zayaat

Intercessor Sanchir Zayaat

An adherent of the Way of the Orders and the founder of the Vianolites Sanchir Zayaat is an extremely devout man. Sanchir's mother was a direct descendent of those who fled from Nysada over four hundred years ago, so Sanchir grew up with the tales of Vianola and her Holy relic. He still holds those stories close to his heart to this day.

Education

Sanchir entered into the service of the church at eight years old as an acolyte. Here he leaned the teachings of the Ways and the history of the Orders. He was also taught mathematics, bookeeping and to read and write in several languages. Proving to be an exceptional student he was the youngest acolyte ever to undertake his Choosing: a ceremony in which an acolyte chooses which of the three Orders seve under. Staying true to the teachings of his mother he chose the Order of Cycles and swore service to the God Kyevyag.

Employment

For twenty years Sanchir served as a priest of the Order; leading services, helping those in need and spreading the word of Kyevyag. At thirty six he was chosen to become a Guide, a title given to priests who had shown an aptitude for seeing the Way. A Guide's job is to help those who have lost the Way and to introduce new adherents to the Way, a job Sanchir proved to be well suited for. He gained a reputation for being an exceptionally good listener and giving sage and helpful advice. He helped many people find their way and became a trusted counselor for those in his Circle .

Accomplishments

In his role as Guide he noticed a growing discontent within Salike, people were becoming unhappy with an increasing social divide between the wealthy and the poor. This sat alongside his own concerns over the use of Daemon tech and the decline in adherents of the Way of the Orders. Fearing a return of the The Messenger's destruction due to an abandoning of the Ways again, he set upon an idea to go in search Vianolite's Holy Relic. Gathering together those who still believed in the power of the relic, he led them out onto the rivers and there the Vianolites have remained to this day. They live a simple life upon the rivers in hopes of attaining the relic once more and thus securing their safety during the next cataclysm.
