Thresherthorn Shillelagh (Thresher-Thorn Shi-Lay-Lee)
Description:
The Thresherthorn Shillelagh is a weapon found by the party at the bottom of the Buried Palm behind the magical wall that guarded Wish-Catchers remains. It is around the same size as a normal Mace.
It is a long lump of dark wood in the shape of a weapons handle that ends in a solid round lump of wood that's just the right shape to bash things with. Emanating from the end of the shillelagh are a few budding green plant stems that are covered in large thorns.
These thorns seem to break off at the slightest touch and lodge themselves in whatever they brushed up against.
It emanates a slight smell of a forest in the rain.
Stats:
This magical weapon's head is a magical plant that rapidly regrows its missing thorns, for weapon stats it is a Mace.
The first target hit by this weapon on each of your turns takes an extra 1d4 Piercing damage from the attack as the weapons thorns shred and stick into the target. These thorns then rapidly regrow at the start of the users next turn.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The Shillelagh works by swinging it very hard at someone or something you don't like, the plant life inside of the weapon grows out in the form of rose-like stems that grow from the hammer head of the weapon add to the effect with the large amount of large thorns it produces which are then regrown.
