The Sarrax Silver Daggers

Description: A set of daggers first wielded by the strange jester like Whisper Bards that served Peyoli during her time in Todesloch.   They are sleekly designed and yet have been polished so that when moved quickly they seem to leave a glint of light in the air. The silver used to forge them have been refined to a delicate but vicious edge. Part performance piece, part assassin's tool, either way it was designed to leave an impression with it's use.   Across the blade you can see a grouping of fairly complex holes and airflows that allow the Whisper Bards to channel a chilling tune through them with precise swings that they can use to assail their victims mind with each swing.   On the side of each of the daggers you see a makers mark showing "Sarrax's Silvers and Jewels".   Statistics: The Sarrax Daggers are considered silvered for the purposes of overcoming damage resistances.   The additional feature of the Sarrax Daggers can only be accessed by Bards (requiring at least 1 level in Bard for Players).   When wielded by a Bard the damage type for the ability modifier on a successful damage roll (the "+x" you add to the 1d4 when you roll damage) will change to the Psychic damage type. (So if you had a +1 to Dex and you rolled a 2 on the damage die you would deal 2 Piercing damage and 1 Psychic damage in that instance.)   This damage is nullified if the user is deafened.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

For the dagger portion it's just a dagger, but the psychic damage comes from the Whisper Bards using some of their bardic training to "play" the dagger with their swings, channeling small cantrip-esque amounts of their magic into each swing to deal a small amount of Psychic damage.

Manufacturing process

Like a normal dagger but with holes in it.

History

The chosen weapon of the Whisper Bards, a group of individuals who typically use their bardic abilities to aid their criminal enterprises. Specialised as both theatric prop, and bringer of death or cutter of coinpurses all in one.   The usual bardic flair, but this time aimed at something a bit darker and underhanded.

Significance

These weapons showed the type of folk that Peyoli was able to bring under her spell during her time in Todesloch.
