Grass Carpet

Description: The Grass Carpet is a soft circular roll of turf that once fully unfurled it has a diameter of 8ft, and is around 1 inch thick.
At the moment when unfurled the grass carpet is a soft meadow of grass and a few very small multicoloured flowers.

Stats: This soft roll of turf is magically fertile. It's soil allows plants of all kinds to grow well within it, although as it's self containing these plants will not grow beyond the size of the carpet.
The carpet is so fertile that plants grown on the Grass Carpet require half the amount of sunlight and water to grow as they would normally.
For every 1 inch of soil depth, the carpet provides the same amount of nutrition as 1 foot of soil, and allowing plants whose roots are normally 1ft long to grow within the 1 inch of soil.
Folding the carpet over for added depth, or layering additional carpets on top of each otherincreases the soil depth to allow for larger plants to grow on the carpet.
It takes 1 minute to roll the carpet up or out, but plants sown and growing inside of the carpet remain inside of the carpet and placed into an extraplanar space while the rug is rolled up. Whilst in this space they do not die or require light or water, but also do not grow.

History

The Grass Carpet was found when it was being used as the bottom carpet of the Druids Tent in Henge.
