Calling Card

Description: On first glance the Calling Card looks just looks like a high quality, if not a bit worn, Tarokka Card. Not any different from the many, many packs that can be found being used in gambling halls, saloons, and the backrooms of various establishments across not only Boccalupo but the entire world.   The back of the card is a black and yellow pattern with a single yellow circle with various looping yellow lines emanating from it on a black checkerboard background.   The front of the card displays a framed illustration of a mechanical warforged-esque puppet on a stage, it's slouched forwards on a stool towards a comically small and beaten up wooden piano with red velvet curtains covering the background, the front of the stage as well as some of the audience can also be seen. A Greatsword with a few blood stains on it has been placed on top of the piano.   The audience is primarily made up of various Humanoids seen only from behind but the central figure is of a humanoid of undiscernable race with a black bird on their shoulder. Additionally if held at the right angle under a light another figure, this time a foggy silhouette with two visible orbs for eyes can be seen on the curtains, giving the impression of them being behind the curtains.   The entire picture is then labelled with the Tarokka High Deck Name of "The Marionette". Which is visible in a box below the illustration.   Finally the card has been marked, with two circular punctures being visible in the top left-hand corner of the card, this was done when Tibalts "Ticket" was stamped to give him access to the ship that brought him to Boccalupo.         Stats: The Calling Card is the primary item needed to conduct a ritual to call Scratch to your location.   To conduct the ritual you need three items, the Calling Card itself, a pack of standard Tarokka Cards, and a willing participant.   To conduct the ritual you simply need the participant to slide the Calling Card into the deck and begin shuffling the cards, doing so will bring Scratch to your location as they possess the participant in order to speak to the group.   You have also learned that the participant themselves can also converse with Scratch albeit without other people being able to hear their private discussion.

History

This card was initially found by Tibalt lodged between the metal plates that made up his new mechanical body, it was then used as his "Ticket" for a one-way trip on a single person enchanted vessel to Boccalupo.   Since then it has also been the sole reliable means of contacting the entity known as "Scratch" through the use of some kind of magical possession.

Significance

It's a potent reminder to Tibalt that Scratch not only "Holds all the cards" but that he's always present in one way or another you just have to let him in.
Rarity
Artefact, likely something connected directly to Scratch.
