Blood Sabre
Description:
The Blood Sabre was the weapon wielded by the skeleton heading the Banquet Hall in the Buried Palm. It was then claimed from his then re-deaded remains and put to use by the party.
The Blood Sabre is a simple looking Sabre with a blade made of a dark metal that is speckled both with sections of glittering purple and many blood stains. Other than this it looks meticulosly well-maintained.
When holding the Sabre it feels disturbingly warm like you're clutching a giant vein filled with blood, and the blade itself gives off a sinister air of necromancy and dark magics.
Stats:
The Blood Sabre grants it's wielder the following benefits whilst attuned:
Damage using this weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance or immunity.
When you hit with a melee attack using the Blood Sabre and reduce the target to 0 hit points, you gain 2d6 Temporary Hit Points.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The Sabre itself is nothing too special, perhaps made of good quality metals and kept well. The part that distinguishes this blade from others is the vile enchantment that permeates it and steals life from those slain by it and courses it into the wielder.
Manufacturing process
It is unknown how the Sabre was innundated with the vile enchantment that permeates it.
History
Initially used by the skeleton in the banquet chamber of the Buried Palm against the party, only to be picked up by them once the battle ended.
Significance
This weapon was used by the leader of the undead in the Banquet Hall of the Buried Palm, who hinted that he may have been waiting for someone else.
Item type
Weapon, Melee
Creation Date

Rarity
Uncommon as the Sabre itself looks to be reasonably average but the necrotic enchantment is beyond what the typical Hedge-Wizard could produce but not impossible to replicate for anyone with skill beyond that.

Raw materials & Components
The blade of the Sabre itself looks to be made of a black metal that looks like it's speckled with many small purple glitter clusters.
Tools
The Sabre was likely made using standard forging techniques albeit with a strange metal, for the enchantment it is likely that you'll need particular ritual materials to innundate it with the enchantment.
