Sear

The Sear is the natural phenomenon that occurs in many parts of Ghrebam, especially the areas located along the Sujeze River that weakens magic use and makes its effects difficult to control. Scholars say it has to do with a tearing of the Arcane Weave, and while it was one of the main reasons for the downfall of the Ek'harj Empire, it has now grown relatively stable. Magic use is possible on Ghrebam, but it is often subject to mishap and either weakened or unintended effects.
