First ship to embark on journey to Barnard´s star. Contact was never reestablished. Its AI persona is Davy Jones. Its captain is Saul Walton.
Since failure to re-establish contact with the ark, many search parties were dispatched to investigate the disappearance of TRN Flying Dutchman. So far, nothing solid was found, but people in Barnard system often claim they saw the Dutchman on their sensors, but that it disappeared as quickly as is emerged. Sensor data are very fuzzy and the sightings of the ship this size is usually credited to marginal error caused by a large asteroid and intense stellar wind of the Barnard´s star as it's a red dwarf.
