Luhman 16
Binary brown dwarf system 6,5 light-years from Solaris and 3,5 light-years from Alpha Centauri.
This system is not a primary colonisation system, but some expeditions were sent by both humans and lifa. One of the martian probes reported no suitable planetary bodies, but a massive asteroid belts rich in iron and other metals and multiple artifical-looking structures. Contact with the probe was lost afterwards.
