Attack Shuttle
An armed subtype of the shuttle. Unlike dropship, the attack shuttles can't carry any passengers. Their main advantage is in overwhelming the defenses of the enemy ship or supplementing the "mothership's" point-defense screen.
Due to their size, which is comparable to that of normal shuttle, these boats can't be equipped with railgun cannon and only carry small number of torpedoes and 1-2 specifically modified point defense cannons.
No meaningful armor plating could be mounted on a vessel this size without severely limiting its other capabilities. Because of this, the craft puts the crew in extreme danger, therefore it's not used by the regular navies.
