Runegust Hall

Named after the first mayor of Stormfort, Tenne Runegust, this three story house was built for her to live in and has offices and meeting rooms for the important functions of the town. She never got to use the house having died before it was finished. The builders still completed its construction with her in mind, including the first library for the town, expansive conference rooms and the first offices for the Guild and other departments needed for the running of town functions. As the town grew and eventually became a city those offices were moved to dedicated buildings and the hall was largely abandoned. The Adventurers' Guild still uses its offices and has since taken over ownership of the building and uses it for some executive functions. A noble of Stonespire is putting pressure on the Guild to relinquish the property under the claim that it belongs to the city, and not a private enterprise. Since the ebbing of activity in the labyrinth and high ranking adventurers leaving for busier regions with better contracts, the Guild's influence in Stormfort is waning slowly. It is unclear how much longer the Guild will be able to fend off the nobles' demands. It is said that Tenne's spirit can still be seen at certain times of the year and one of the places is in the second-floor study. Rumor has it that some people that visit Runegust Hall are plagued with bad luck for days afterward. Those that see Tenne's spirit are never bothered by the bad luck. Some have speculated that those that do get cursed with bad luck are either from Thornrest, Stonespire or Whiteneedle. Noone from those three places has ever seen her spirit at the Hall but has claimed to see a crone beckoning to them in the outskirts of Hillcleft where she tried to lead them into the Harrowed Valleys.
