The vast majority of Nostrina's inspirations come from gaming. It's a medium with unlimited artistic potential with all the parts that have to go together. You have artists, writers, musicians, programmers, and engineers coming together to create a piece of art that you, the player, are directly a part of.
By far the biggest inspiration for Nostrina and what got me to enjoy fantasy worldbuilding as a whole is The Elder Scrolls series. I can go on for a while about how the series has inspired Nostrina, but I'll keep it short, so this isn't as extensive as a Stephan King novel. The style and tone of its world, if a bit inconsistent (looking at you, Oblivion), just sits so well with me; I don't know how to describe it, really. Its extensive lore and world-building have drawn plenty of people into its rabbit hole, something I hope to replicate one day with Nostra. Oh, and let's not forget Jeremy Soule's music; it's just perfect for the series and is the music style I envision when imagining Nostra.

However, I much as I love Elder Scrolls, it's not my favorite game series. Elder Scrolls is my biggest inspiration for this project, but my favorite series is Halo by far and away. Gameplay that never gets old, fun campaigns with enjoyable stories (except Halo 5, the campaign was terrible). The music is some of the most iconic in gaming, some fantastic set pieces and multiplayer that's always a good time (yes, even Halo 4, which I don't think was too bad). Despite being a sci-fi universe, its art and music have inspired many different parts of Nostrina. If I ever do a science fiction project, you can 100% expect my love of Halo to shine through. Also, 343, please stop fucking up Infinite, I want to like that game more.

One last series I should mention is FromSoftware's Souls games. This includes Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring, games that have violently beaten my ass many times but still have me coming for more. Each game may be different, but the main draw for me is the art style for many of its characters, and pretty sweet areas have helped birth ideas for Nostrina.
