The Grey Goddess

Description

The Grey Goddess is an abnormality of the nine. It could be because of some unfortunate event she experienced, or perhaps the influence of another’s will, but she suffers a curse that causes her inexplicable memory loss. And with it, her name, her sphere of influence, and much of her capabilities are unknown. Likewise, the other deities seemingly do not recall details about her or her circumstances, though they are aware of her. Unable to retain most of her long or short-term memory, she wanders the realm unending – searching for the cause or a cure. So powerful is the curse though, that it affects those of weak wills that come into close proximity. If a piece of society has a sudden case of mass amnesia, it is a sign of The Grey Goddess’ presence. Due to this curse, her quintessence as a deity has certainly changed from what it was. While what she represents presently is much more narrow in contrast, she accepts the possibility she could have been a deity of any aspect or form. And with such ambiguity, she is willing to accept just about any type of follower, and any kind of domains on which they would focus. Rather small in stature, she possesses grey skin with distinctly orange hair and eyes. If not for the unusual colors, her other features would invoke a familiarity with the dark elves. Be that as it may, her attire is a grey dress that matches her skin tone and covers her body in a form-fitting but flowing manner. She tends to have an unchanging expression of worry, as though she has forgotten something important. She is indifferent to all other deities.

Special Note

Any character that has the ability to receive domains from The Grey Goddess may choose any domain they wish for their first choice, and she will provide the power for it. If a character is able to choose a second domain or more, they must be chosen from her list of six domains and subdomains. The exception to this are archetypes or other abilities that specify which domains a character must have.
