Homebrew Elves

Cloud Elves
Cloud elves are the most technologically advanced of elves, being the first to introduce steam-power as a backbone for civilization. They were the first to explore the sky islands that float above the the surface of the world, and the cloud elves of Taes leth were the first to figure out how to pull a sky island out of its current into fixed positions. By doing so, they were able to use the islands as the core of their floating city, Rafe Ancalen, that sits roughly 8,000 feet above Taes leth . They use zeppelins for transportation to and from the surface.
  • They use standard racial ability modifiers.
  • Cloud Elves by default have the Ageless Patience alternative racial trait instead of Elven Magic and Keen Senses, but players may switch them as normal, and then take other traits that replace Elven Magic or Keen Senses if desired.
  Dark Elves

Dark elves are the closest resemblance to Drow, and also the most homebrew intensive. Rather than the intrinsic nature for chaotic evil, dark elves tend to be more neutral. For appearance, they include the ranges of drow looks, but also can look like normal elves with darker skin tones. They are familiar with magic dealing with necromancy, life, darkness, and curses, but this in the same vein of curiosity and study as a high elf would have for elemental evocation and conjuration magic. They live in their underground city of Meleth Themar, of which the only known surface access to is through passages leading from Elenalean and Yaeth Lenora, or by going through their close neighbor Dharn Kuldohr, which itself has a passage that exits several miles to the north. In terms of latitude and longitude, Meleth Themar sits slightly between Thalas and Yaeth Lenora, which is almost due west of Elenalean.
Mechanically, they are like drow, except for the following:
  • No Blasphemous Covenant, Champion of Dark Powers, or Poison Minion alternate racial traits. Other alternate traits are still available.
  • A Dark Elf with the Defensive Training or the Ancestral Grudge alternate trait is not from Taes leth, but from somewhere else outside it.
  • No Demonic Apostle racial archetype.
  • No Spider Step or Spider Summoner racial feats.
  High Elves
High elves are the more cosmopolitan, sociable, and lawful kind of elves. They live in the city of Elenalean, which is built into and around the edge of a cliff, bordering the coastline.
  • [High Elves gain a +2 to Dex and +2 to either Int or Cha (player’s choice), and -2 to Str.
  • High Elves by default have the Urbanite alternative racial trait instead of Keen Senses, but players may switch them as normal, and then take other traits that replace Keen Senses if desired.
    Moon Elves
Moon elves are the most mystically-inclined of the elves. Many moon elves become diviners, involved with the subjects of fate, the spirit, and existential concepts. They live in Yaeth Lenora, a very large area of rolling hills and meadows to the south-west of Elenalean, directly across from Brídulvík. Moon Elves live the most minimalist styled lives of all.
  • They gain +2 to Dex, +2 to Wis, and -2 to Con.
  • Moon Elves by default have the Dreamspeaker alternative racial trait instead of Elven Immunities, but players may switch them as normal, and then take other traits that replace Elven Immunities if desired.
    Sea Elves
Sea elves for most purposes are like the Aquatic Elves from paizo. Mechanically they are the same, but thematically, Sea Elves have more to do with commerce and trade, as they are the ones that handle all trade by sea for Taes leth. They live quite close to Elenalean and Brídulvík, in their city of Ullyon. Ullyon is built into two tiers, the first being the one that floats on top of the water. Besides sea elves, it houses other races with an affinity for living off the water, many of which are sailors and fishers. The second tier is the one below the water, where the dwellers are those with the ability to breathe water.
  • A sea elf with the Surfacer Antagonist alternate trait is not one from Taes leth, but from somewhere else outside it.
  Wood Elves
Wood elves are the default elves that you are normally familiar with, living in Thalas, a city built into and around the towering trees of the Tuldom Grove, located about a third of a mile west-northwest of Elenalean.
  • Wood Elves by default have the Woodcraft alternative racial trait instead of Elven Magic, but players may switch them as normal, and then take other traits that replace Elven Magic if desired.
