Changes to Races

Catfolk

• The Cat’s Claws and Scent racials traits can be taken without replacing any racial traits
• Racial ability modifers can be changed to +2 Dex, +2 Int, -2 Wis.

Kistune

• You may use Change Shape a number of hours per day equal to you Con+lvl
• The feats Realistic Likeness and Fox Shape are banned

Dhampir

• Are subjected to Sunlight Syndrome
• Also count as having the Undead subtype for qualifying for features and feats and things that would affected undead such as Ranger's Favored Enemy.
• Receive the Unusual Origin feat

Half-Orc

• Loses the Orc Ferocity trait in exchange of gaining Ferocity
• Half-orcs gain 1 additional skill rank per level

Merfolk

• Gain Water Dependent racial trait
  • Water Dependent: A merfolk body requires constant submersion in fresh or salt water. Merfolk who spend more than one day without fully submerging themselves in water risk internal organ failure, painful cracking of the skin, and death within 4d6 hours.

Kobold

• Kobold's Racial Ability modifiers have changed to +2 Dex, +2 Cha, -4 Str
• Draconic is no longer a starting language for Kobolds. Instead they know Yip-yap, the language of Kobolds.
• Kobolds gain Instinctual Trapper racial trait

Human

• Humans may start with a free trait that begins with "Heart of" without replacing the Skill trait. Humans that do take it must have lived in such an environment.

Dwarf

• A dwarf may begin with alternative racial ability modifiers: +2 Cha, -2 Int, +2 Con
• The Hatred racial trait how reads as:
  • Deep Tradition: Because of their long and deep tradition and their specialized training, Dwarves gain a +1 racial bonus on attack rolls against humanoid creatures of the orc, elf, giant, and goblinoid subtypes, Duergar, dark folk, and creatures of aberration type. They also receive a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks of opportunity made by the listed creatures.
